This property is situated on 20 acres of beautiful private forest in peaceful and serene surroundings, with delightful views of a waterfall, Mt. H'Kusam and the surrounding peaks. It is on a paved logging road only 5 km from the village of Sayward and the port of Kelsey Bay, with newly paved driveway to the main building. Currently operating as a hostel/wilderness retreat/country inn, the lodge is a two-storey 8000 square foot building, with 10 guest bedrooms, an owner's apartment, licensed restaurant and many guest amenities.
This is offered as a complete package – a turnkey operation including all furniture, bedding and linens, and a well-equipped commercial kitchen. It has recently been renovated and tastefully decorated, with new roof, low-E windows, new flooring, paved driveway and many other improvements.
The Lodge can sleep up to 27 people. Our clientele includes work groups such as tree planters, loggers, road crews, geologists and fire fighters. We also host retreats, skiers, cavers, hikers, educational activities and workshops, as well as tourists. Much of our business is repeat business and word-of-mouth referrals. We are BC Tourism approved, and belong to several other tourism and accommodation organizations.
The building has other potential uses, including group home, treatment centre or educational facility, eco-tourism centre, hunting or fishing lodge, etc.
